Internal Decoration

After that we started to wrap the so-called-partition

whereas fui teng was surfing the net and looking for idea for the surface of tissue box





















lastly we put in the two packets of tissue in the tissue box and the mirror we use the glittering jewelry to decorate its four edge and then stick both in the cosmetic case

External Decoration

Previously we have already wrapped the box with the unwanted zebra stripes jacket and washed carpet, and now its time for us to decorate it.

First and foremost, we stick the glittering jewelry around the tissue hole and then only we stick two long bling bling jewelry around the hole,yea it looks like a cross but not really a cross lol,more or less it looks like a gift box lo =p

While everyone is thinking how to do make the drawer opener,our leader come out with an idea which using a screwdriver to drill a small hole in the middle of the drawer and then insert a small screw inside and lock the screw back, and guess what?it works! *laugh*

After drilling then we decorate the two drawers' upper and lower edge with the silver jewelry,and taa-daa, the external decoration of the box is 100% completed *clap hand*

Packaging

Everyone is busy on pasting the cardboard on the MP3 player box.
Purpose of doing this is to ensure the hand made drawers won't drop out of the box when we pull it out.





















Actually we are using Puma red shoebox to form our cosmetic case.
It is spacious enough to fit in all the cosmetic

Our "green" packaging is made from post-consumer waste, which are unwanted zebra stripe jacket and unused carpet, both benefiting the environment.
Again, we cut it into pieces so that it is easier for us to do the packaging.

Testing and Drafting

Today is our first day of doing product.
Due to the lack of resources, we just do measurement of the shoebox and cardboard and cut it into pieces for future uses.

This is our cosmetic case draft
Basically we decided to do two level
the lower level consists of two drawers
whilst the upper level we plan to made several partition
lastly we plan to stick a tissue box and a mirror on the shoebox opener

Dubai

Dubai is a well known emirate in the United Arab Emirates
It has over 1,3 million residents but most of these people are expatriates
It is a second largest emirate in the United Arab Emirates and it is a leader in the fields of finance and tourism

The reason why we choose Dubai is because the beauty and cosmetics business in the UAE has been very strong particularly in recent years
Hence we strongly believe that our cosmetic case will be hot sale item in Dubai UAE too MUAHAHAHAHA

last Friday we start doing research on Dubai, including the PEST analysis and Michael Porter Five Forces and hopefully all will be done by tomorrow

Cosmetic case

Having our first discussion in library

Since five of our group member are female
we decided to make something girlish and suitable for girlhood
First come to our mind is cotton letter holder
Of course its function is not merely putting letter inside
we make it multipurpose as in like putting in keys, stationary etc
by adding on a long ribbon we can transform it into sling bag
and don't know adding what then it becomes apron lol
sounds great right??
but then no one in our group know sewing
so end up we give up and think of other idea

For your information, our targeted market is Middle East country
Middle Eastern women wear occasionally heavy makeup that looks gorgeous
Their trademark: lots of eyeliner
Hence we decided to make a cosmetic case with Arabian feel
The material needed are shoebox,cardboard, mirror,magnet,lace,fabric and etc
